Art Czar / Project Team Member (September 2013 – December 2013): For JOMC491.004, Digital Advertising and Marketing, our task was to evaluate the digital footprint of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication and come up with a digital strategy to attract new students. My teammates and I conducted primary research and analyzed secondary research to come up with the insight that students crave customization in their education. With that insight, we presented suggestions on how educators could “ditch the box,” by creating a personalized experience for students. Along with those recommendations came a social media campaign and suggestions for updating the website.

One of the really cool things about this project, other than being particularly invested in the client’s success as a student of that school, is that they took our advice! At least, parts of it.
